The way that adults treat us children is very strange. The younger we are, the more often they say that we are smart. Yet, at the same time, they also act as if we don’t understand anything. This makes them whisper in front of us or talk loudly in the next room about things that have to do with us while believing that we haven’t heard anything. And, even if they know that you have heard everything, they continue believing that you can’t understand anything what they said. Quite often, so they don’t feel bad, I keep everything I understood to myself and they continue to believe that I don’t understand anything anyway.
