Chew and Knife always used to meet in the square. That was the only place they knew along with a couple streets surrounding it, their school and the basketball court. That was where they had been born, where they were growing up, where they spent their every day and night. That was where the other kids hung out, the gangs with other children like them - maybe a little older - and with nicknames too. Chew and Knife, however, were best pals. They did all their mischief together and, whenever they felt like it, they’d shoot a few hoops with Knife’s fraying ball, whether in the municipal court or in the square itself where some kids had nailed a hoop without a net on the trunk of a tree just behind the church.

One day, however, a man moved to their neighbourhood. A man who would change their life forever… This is a fictional account of the true story of the birth of Ark of the World, a charity based in the centre of Athens that works to aid children and parents in need. The proceeds of this book will be donated to the charity in support of its work.
