e-book ΤΩΡΑ

The guests of the first episode of the television show Family Dinner are the family of the journalist presenting the show. One by one the members of her family sit in front of the camera and the microphone and answer, honestly, the questions put to them, no matter how risqué they might be.
From young Nikolakis, who states that his parents are being bottled, and the dynamic and dominant grandmother, who has now lost her mind, to the miserable daughter-in-law of the journalist, who finds refuge in antidepressants and ephemeral affairs, and the first-born son, an emo by conviction, the people next door parade through the pages: ordinary people we might meet on the street, at work, in the supermarket. People like the rest of us, who suffer, trapped in the cogs of the system, seeking hope and consolation.
Giorgos Maniotis, with his sharp pen, launches a scathing accusation against the daily absurdity we experience in our everyday life, amidst this contemporary sociopolitical reality that systematically drives us to the loss of our own humanity.
