Vicky Kouloumbi-Palmou was born in Patras. She has studied Education in Rome as well as at the Universities of Athens and the Aristoteleion University of Thessaloniki. She is currently a PhD student at the Department of Psychology at the Panteion University of Athens. Her thesis focuses on "The Puppet Theatre as a means of therapy and education for children". She has worked for many years as a nursery-school teacher in schools as well as in training facilities. Since 2004 she has been teaching in Paris. Travelling widely, she has also participated in a number of educational seminars and conferences and spoken about instructive methodologies in the nursery school as well as the role of the puppet theatre in school. She has also produced a number of children's television programs on national television as well as worked on radio programs. Last but not least, Vicky Kouloumbi-Palmou participates voluntarily in puppet shows for institutions, cultural associations and schools in Athens and the rest of Greece. As an author, she has written over 30 books.
