The Author
Eugene Trivizas has written more than a hundred books, all of them currently in print, that are enjoyed by both adults and children. Although he is a barrister at law and Director of Criminal Justice studies at the University of Reading, England, his books for children forgo all rules and regulations, all laws and boundaries and dive head first into an ocean of pure imagination and fun. He has received more than twenty national and international literary prizes and awards. In 2006, Eugene Trivizas was shortlisted for the prestigious international Hans Christian Andersen award, while his play "The Scarecrow's Dream" has been included in the IBBY Honour List and has been awarded the IBBY Diploma for excellence in writing. His first book for children published in English, THE THREE LITTLE WOLVES AND THE BIG BAD PIG, was a huge international success. It reached 2nd place in the American bestseller list for picture books, won many distinctions and has been translated into fifteen languages. With a distinctive combination of lyricism and surrealism, humour and poetic imagination, Eugene Trivizas is a miraculous creator of children's literature.
