I was born in Athens in 1977. I started my professional basketball career at the age of fifteen, at Sporting. At sixteen, I won the European Championship with the National Youth Team. At eighteen, I won the World Championship for Juniors and the same summer I transferred to Olympiacos.
I played for three years at Sporting, seven at Olympiacos, one year at Macedonikos, four at Panathinaikos, two at AEK, one at Panionios, and one at Peristeri. I am a two-time Olympian with the Men's National Team, seven-time Greek League Champion, six-time Greek Cup Winner, two-time European Champion with Olympiacos and Panathinaikos, and the only Greek basketball player with two triple crowns with Olympiacos and Panathinaikos, meaning championship, cup, and European title in the same season. After the end of my career, I was awarded by the Panhellenic Association of Sports Press for my character throughout my career.
For the past two years, I have been dedicated to raising awareness in society about autism because of my daughter. At the same time, I speak about self-improvement, championship mentality, and teamwork, as well as how I utilized my experiences to turn what society considered a disadvantage into an advantage and help thousands of people with the same issue.
In this context, I was inspired to create and implement the sports-educational program UniquAll, aiming to empower neurodiverse children. Its mission is to provide an appropriate environment and opportunities for co-education and co-competition among children with typical and atypical development. Its activities contribute to the improvement of children's mental and physical health while serving as a vehicle for raising awareness in society, aiming to change mindset and attitude towards diversity. My companions and ambassadors of the program are the European basketball legend and the only member of the Hall of Fame, Nikos Galis, and NBA champion, Giannis Antetokounmpo.
