Dinos Koumbatis was born in Athens. As a school boy he dabbled with journalism and went on to study Theatre and French Literature at the university. He is the founder of the "experimental stage" and the Foundation of Eptanesian Theatre. He has directed over sixty theatrical plays in Greece and abroad, and he has been honoured with many international prizes including the much coveted "Ionescu Prize". He has also worked in radio and television. In terms of his literary work, fourteen of his books (academic works, poetry and a novel) have already been published, while ten of his theatrical plays have been produced on the stage. He has a documentary way of writing that pleases and informs at the same time. His first novel published by PSICHOGIOS Publications, was well received by readers who praised his skillful combination of an interesting story line with the historical background of Greece and Asia Minor.
