Sophia Paraschou-Chatzidimitriou was born on the Greek island of Karpathos and lives in Athens. She studied Archaeology at the University of Athens and works in education. She received a scholarship from the National Scholarship Foundation and subsequently received her PhD in children's literature from the University of Athens. She has been a member of the Ministry of Culture committee regarding the National Children's Literature Awards as well as a member of the board of trustees of the Circle of the Greek Children's Book. She has also worked on the writing and development of the Anthologies of Modern Greek Literature for Greek middle schools. Her book "Even Bad Guys are Good" is her eighth book and it was also published in Germany. She is a prolific writer of children's books with a fabulous sense of humour and a truly wild imagination.
